About Department

Introduction: This is a Post-Graduate department which teaches all basic aspects of Hindi literature

Including regional culture and literature. Research is conducted in the field of Hindi literature of Mauritius, Folklore of Uttarakhand and Hindi Novels.

Year of Establishment: 1971 (Undergraduate course), 1974 (Post-graduate course)

Number of students: 300 in Undergraduate course; 25 in Post-graduate course
