Research

So far research activities are concern these are carried on in the field of Geomorphology, Hydrology and Hydrogeochemistry. The thrust area of the department is Hydrogeochemistry in particular as it is the need of the hour and moreover, the Ganges and Yamuna originate in the Himalaya and we are housed in the Ganga basin. In the said work we are studying the impact of  areal and regional Geology on the quality of surficial water. One of the research scholars has already been awarded Ph.D. and other is carrying on.
