Brief note about the Department:
The Department came into existence in 2007. It offers two years (Four semesters) PG course in M.Sc. Pharmaceutical Chemistry. The student shall be eligible for admission to a Master’s Degree Program in Pharmaceutical Chemistry after he/she has successfully completed a three year B. Sc. or B. Pharm. course. Admission of the Master’s Program in Pharmaceutical Chemistry shall be through entrance examination conducted by the University/merit (according to University rules regulations). The course is designed to offer opportunities for advanced study in drug discovery technology, therapeutics Herbal drug Technology, process development, pharmaceutical analysis and quality assurance, manufacturing, processing, formulation, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance of pharmaceutical ingredients and finished products. In addition, the students will be familiar with the regulatory and quality compliance of pharmaceutical products. The courses is suitable and beneficial to those working in industry and research laboratories and wish to develop their knowledge in the design and synthesis of drugs, Herbal drug formulation and address the pharmacological issues that arise.
